If branding, hand lettering, and visual merchandising were to get married, my Bachelor of Fine Arts final show would have been their adorable baby. The Club is a conceptual book collection that, in real life, would live under the umbrella of a book seller, like Barnes and Noble: Each year a theme is chosen, a mascot is created, and eight books are designed and sold as a special edition set for participants of book clubs. The covers are hand lettered in a style that matches the tone of the book, while the spines are printed with the year's mascot to pull them all together. I designed and lettered the spines and covers, then pulled visual merchandising into the show by designing window displays you might see for 3 of the books: Markus Zusak's "The Book Thief," Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice," and Brene Brown's "Daring Greatly."
